💡 What’s changing and why

When we launched Easy Clone for Jira Cloud, our goal was simple: help Jira users effortlessly clone issues in just a few clicks. Since then, we’ve grown to over 1,200 active installs - a number we didn't think we would ever reach.

However, with growth comes responsibility. Supporting this many users, keeping the app reliable, and building new features require real, ongoing investment. After a lot of thought, we’ve made the difficult decision to transition Easy Clone to a paid model.

As the Atlassian Marketplace continues to evolve - often in unpredictable ways - it has introduced a level of uncertainty that makes long-term planning more challenging.
To continue delivering a high-quality, well-supported, and evolving product, we need to establish a more sustainable foundation.

By moving to a paid model, we’ll be able to:

  • Invest in new features and improvements
  • Offer faster and more robust support
  • Ensure the long-term viability of the app

🔍 New pricing overview

We’ve designed our pricing to stay accessible and fair. Here is the new pricing table, effective from June 1st, 2025.
Customers who installed the app prior to June 1st, 2025 are entitled to a 30% reduction through a promo code, applicable to both monthly and annual subscriptions until January 1st, 2026.

👥 What does this mean for current users?

If you’re already using Easy Clone, thank you! We’re incredibly grateful for your trust and support.
Here’s what this transition means for you:

  • You can continue using the app for free until September 1st, 2025.
    A new version of the app introducing the paid subscription will be available. You won't be required to update to it until September 1st, 2025.
  • Starting September 1st, 2025, you’ll be invited to update the app and activate a monthly or annual subscription.
    A 30% Promo Code, available until December 31st, 2025, will be provided.
  • Regular pricing will be introduced on January 1st, 2026

❓ How to update the app?

To continue using Easy Clone, you’ll need to update the app and activate a trial (required for the app to work).
👉 Important: You must be a Jira administrator to perform this action. If you are not, please contact your Jira administrator and ask them to follow the steps below.

  1. In Jira, go to Apps → Manage your apps (or Installed apps).
  2. Locate Easy Clone for Jira Cloud in the list.
  3. Perform both of the following actions:
  • Click Update to install the latest version.
  • Click Start trial to activate the subscription process.

⚠️ Without starting the trial, the app will not function, even if it has been updated.

❓ How to apply the promotional code?

Applying the promotional code to your freshly created license is a manual additional step to achieve.
Go to your Billing Console: https://admin.atlassian.com/billing

    In the Subscriptions section, find and click on Easy Clone for Jira Cloud

    Lastly, in the top-right corner, click on Enter promo code.
    That's it!
